Playlists For Today’s Cleaning Dad.  Check Back Frequently For Updates

Gentlemen, Load your i-pods!

Obviously most of these songs were picked for their “hidden meaning” as the title relates to each category.  Please don’t assume that we actually listen to some of these Artists.  If Neil Diamond shows up, for example, you can rest assured that my i-pod would melt if I attempted to download “Turn On Your Heartlight”, or whatever that E.T. song was.  The Metallica songs just wouldn’t tolerate it.  If you don’t see the relation through the title, then you can assume the beat would be good for that particular cleaning chore.  “Paranoid” by Black Sabbath while scrubbing a toilet would be a good example.  That bowl will be shiny in a hurry!  Have fun!  Suggestions are always welcome.

For a man to clean the house requires motivation, and lot’s of it.

Go to the CD player, or Ipod station. Drop in Back In Black. Start with the kitchen. Hell’s Bells will get you through scraping the dried cereal from the bowls all the way to sweeping the floor and mopping if necessary, which in my house is every other day. Moving on to the living room and dining room next, you should have these wrapped up by the time Back In Black starts, and then it’s upstairs to make the beds. Keep your mind on the job, no air guitar, you can’t play like Angus, so just get back to work.

After picking up 10,000 legos, 12 damp towels, and countless little white socks (you know how I love those) you should be half way through Shake A Leg. Now it’s the home stretch… Wipe down the bathroom, bring the clothes to the laundry room, get the first load started and the album should be coming to an end. It’s Miller Time. Or in my case Dewar’s Time.
