Redeployment Is Not An Option

About Us

This is the story of two neighboring Stay At Home Dads and the adventures they encounter while raising their six children.  It isn’t always pretty and it isn’t always easy, but it’s always fun.  Parenting is like warfare at times; knowing when and where to choose your battles.  Sometimes you win , sometimes you don’t.  But the “war” is one waged in love, and will probably end up in a tie.  This is also a place for Stay At Home Dads to come for a laugh,  a chance to escape the drone of the “Wonder Pets” theme,  maybe even learn a thing or two about bad movies, cliffnotes cooking and music to clean by.  Welcome to the conflict.

NukeDad

NukeDad: Father of two boys and one girl.  A recovering restaurant manager, he relocated to the mid-atlantic after a long tour of duty in Texas.  Awarded the Silver Spoon for Valor after the Green Bean Uprising of 2002.  Also received the Purple Smiley Face for injuries to the eye (Pea-Shootpalooza-1999) and the groin (Pinata Bash-Birthday 2003).

I’m originally from El Paso, Texas, the Mexican Food Capital of the World.  I’ve spent the last 8 years searching the mid-atlantic for a chile relleno that isn’t just a bell pepper in disguise.  The closest I’ve come is chile poblanos, and I guess those will have to do.  I spent 25 years in the restaurant industry, finally escaping in January of 2005.  Since then I have been a stay at home dad, finding that at 70 hours a week, the restaurant gig was less hours and, at times, easier.   (THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS)

DrIsaidNo

Dr. Isaid No: Father of one girl and two boys.  Aided by his buxom raven-haired lab assistant, Nurse Thighhighs, he endeavors to conquer the world of the Stay-At-Home-Finish-Degree Dad.  Operating from a remote lair in the American landscape he wages a personal war on laundry, homework, and diapers that would make a strong man weep.
