I’m jealous as well. I haven’t been to an air show in years as well. Love to see the new and the old aircraft at the shows.

(NukeDad) The F-22 alone was worth the trip. You would have loved the “Heritage Flights”; They would do fly-bys with newer and older planes together. The F-18 did one with the P-40, but the best was the F-22, A-10 and the P-51 Mustang. It was really cool.

I have never been to an air show but I bet they are awesome. We have an air force base nearby that is home to F-14's I think. Whatever they have is one of the older planes that is nearly extinct. Anyway I have been fishing before when they made a big turn over the lake. The sound echoing off the mountains and water is overwhelming. Very cool. (NukeDad) Otter, when your boy gets old enough, you need to make it a point to get both of you to an Airsho. It is an awesome experience. He probably won't appreciate it until he's at least 6 or 7, so you've got some time to plan for it. Otters last blog post..100th Post

That is AWESOME! I must take the fam to a real airshow. They usually have one right here every year, but it's no where NEAR as cool as the one you saw. There is nothing like flames and speed and noise to inspire a kid. (NukeDad) They were inspired, I know that! It SOUNDS like your family had a great time! I think it's wonderful NukeBoy 2 found heroes to look up to. How nice they were to sign autographs. Unfortunately, I'd be like your kids with my hands over my ears, not because I didn't appreciate the machinery, but because I have a sensitivity to sounds. But I would have loved to see all the flying machines on the ground. So are taxpayers getting their money's worth? (NukeDad) Taxpayers are getting their money's worth as far as the military goes, now the rest of it, I'm not so sure. Quite a few potholes the last time it rained.
