But blogging is still your #1 priority right?! That two touchdown rule would maybe make sense in practice if trying to build up the skills of the kids who are not necessarily getting as much time with the ball because of the stronger players being naturally focused on but in a game that is pretty unrealistic. The no score and other rules are just going to set the kids up for disappointment later if they try out for teams that are actually competitive and only accept and play kids that do well. Better to teach them how it works from the beginning I think.

(NukeDad) Right now, reading has been my #1 priority. I just need to even it all out a little better. The "no keeping score" rule is a joke anyway, the kids keep score and always know who won and who lost.

I hate not keeping score. Everyone is not a winner. Kids need to learn how to handle failure. I may have competitiveness issues.

(NukeDad) If you've got issues Otter, then I have the same ones. It's funny, they won't let us keep score, but then they say that once a kid scores 2 touchdowns, he can only run with the ball; you can't throw to him.

You don't keep score? What weirdness that be? Everyone's a winner?

(NukeDad) That's right, the Y doesn't keep score. I've mentioned it in many coaches meetings, but I'm always rejected. It doesn't really matter anyway, the kids keep score and shout it out during the games anyway. They know who wins.

If your team manages to figure out which end zone to run toward this time around, they'll be unstoppable!

(NukeDad) HEY! That was uncalled for! I buy EVERY player a compass at the beginning of the season.
