I vaguely remember my grandparents taking me to the circus when I was little, I was probably 4ish. I probably enjoyed it, lol.

Yeah, the dancing elephants I could do without; the 12 tigers in a cage also. All it would take is for 1 of those tigers to go all "Seigfried and Roy" on the trainer to scar 100's of kids for life. Wow, that looks really cool! I know my kids would love to see something like that. What a great thing for you and your family to be able to enjoy! Sadly, the tour planners seemed to have forgotten about the Pacific Northwest entirely. Maybe they think we're part of Canada still, eh? Anyway I'm not willing to drive to Sacramento for that. Clowns creep me out.

The last circus we attended was about ten years ago, when my father-in-law had another persona: “Jingles”, a clown with the Shriners Klown Korps. We went to their convention in Myrtle Beach where he was due to be crowned “Grand Poohbah”, and got the “privilege” of being backstage while he and all of his little friends were being dressed and made up for the performance by their show wives.

Seriously, it was like Showbiz Moms and Dads but in a circus. With adults.

Let me know if you get luxury box seats to AC/DC.
I’ll start driving south immediately.

(NukeDad) I’m not crazy about clowns either. Kinda like the kid in Poltergeist. I’m shootin’ for some concert tickets, believe me! I’ll let you know if we get any.

I am from Arkansas so I don’t always consider being a redneck a bad thing. Of course if I think someone is a redneck then they are in bad shape.

Watching in a box is the only way to go. I have seen a few events in the Coca Cola box at a local arena due to a connection with a friend. I have no perks of my own. I read your monster truck post and you couldn’t be more right about the private bathroom. Our box was catered too. I love rubbing elbows with the privileged if only for a short while.

My nephew went to see the circus! He loved it! My sister-in-law did say the cotton candy was waaaay over priced tho! LOL! (NukeDad) Yeah, It's like getting robbed anymore. 20 oz coke runs $3.50 here.
