Finally got a chance to read this, couldn't agree more. A person doesn't have to have any facts to back up their pet gripe, and doesn't have to have any guts to post anonymously. Great post. I couldn't agree more. I really makes me mad that ignorant people jump on the whole "murder abroad" topic thinking America is so terrible. No one ever wants to note that we provide more aid to more countries than the rest of the world combined. You correctly note that we have rebuilt Japan and helped tear down the wall. It has become popular to bash America and it is really sad. (NukeDad) The worst part about the bashers is they offer no solutions. I don't care if you disagree; that's what this country is all about; spirited debate, and has been for over 200 years; but don't just bitch because you can, bitch because you have a better way. I have no such rule, if someone attacks one of my people and has not already been torn a new one they will be torn a new one, if they have been torn a new one I'll find room for another! It is a character trait I have and in general am proud of (just have to be careful not to let it get too out of control). Respectful disagreements I can tolerate, disrespectful attacks are unacceptable! That person is what my little sister calls a "troll", they are evil creatures that exist only to cause trouble, she encounters them a lot in her internet world (not her blog, her other weird internet community things). And why did you have to post that video, don't you realize that some of us are trying to bury our heads in the sand and pretend the train wreck isn't actually happening! Too bad I am graduating within the next four years, otherwise I'd of had a shot at maintaining my denial. I want my world to return to when someone was talking about stimulus they were discussing bacterial interactions with their environment and not parasitic relationships of humans/politicians and the government. And why can't these people see that when you take the carbohydrate source away from the organism it can't grow and the culture fails?! And when the big organism doesn't have enough sugar they aren't going to share what they do have with the smaller organisms... Sigh, I am so going back into denial, wake me in 4 years so I can vote for the NukeDad/WeaselMomma ticket! (NukeDad) I don't know if I'd want that job; but I'd take it.
