Redeployment Is Not An Option

E=McD?

NukeBoy2 and I had occasion to eat lunch at a McDonald’s the other day.  He got a bag of cookies with his Mighty Kids Meal.  As he was enjoying his lunch he asked me; “Hey Dad, who was that really smart guy who figured out all of that stuff?”  “You mean me?”, I replied.  “No, no; the smart guy”, he answered.  Ouch.  “I think you mean Albert Einstein”, I said.  “Yeah, yeah!  That’s him!”, NukeBoy2 said.  “Boy, he sure was smart to open up McDonald’s and make all that money”.  You be the judge.

Well, I’m not sure about the energy or the speed of light parts, but McDonald’s certainly has the mass part of the equation down pat.

    (NukeDad) That’s true; Dbl 1/4 lb’er w/chz + Lg FF + XL soda = Critical mASS.

Neither one of those guys is Albert einstein, you do realize that.

I have a real picture of Dr. Wernher Von Braun if you want to see it. I took it last week.

    Srsly.

(NukeDad) I do want to see it. I want you to tell me who those guys are also.

    Kids got a point.

(NukeDad) It was kinda spooky when he said it. I never knew Einstein wore those big red shoes either.

You know that Einstien and Ronald McDonald were never seen at the same time. Hummm. Makes you wonder…

(NukeDad) It’s true; and I think I remember in the early ’60s they tried the “Space Time Continuum” burger. It came with a “Relativity Shake”. Didn’t go over too well because people couldn’t remember if they ate it or not and would leave hungry.

Wow, I have nothing witty to say really, but it’s a cute story.

Oh, one observation: Albert Einstein and Ronald sort of look like Jack Albertson from “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” and “Chico and the Man”.

(NukeDad) They do! And you know, the 3 of them were never seen together. Hmm….Maybe Mike is on to more than he realizes.

McDonald’s will be using that in their next commerical. They’re marketing geniuses. My 18-month-old has never step foot in a Mickey D’s and she heard the theme song at the end of their commercials, while playing in the living room. All of a sudden we hear, “Bah bah bah bah bah” from her. Obviously not with the right inflections (we’re working on it), but Christ, she’s hooked already!

(NukeDad) Their advertisements will work in the infant, toddler, larvae and pupa stages. They’re good.

Your response in Tom’s comment is eerie, here we call that a #4 combo, …..or so I’ve heard. I love that picture of Einstein. I also love the fact that he often wore mis-matching socks because he was thinking about more important things. That story comes in especially useful when you’ve forgotten to clean out the cat box, again, or forgotten to feed the cat, again. “What!? I’m doing Einstein!”

(NukeDad) My favorite is the time someone asked Einstein for his phone number. He walked over to the phone book, looked it up, wrote it on a piece of paper and gave it to them. When they asked him how it was that he didn’t know his own phone number he said; “I don’t keep any information in my brain that I can readily and easily find somewhere else”. Smart dude!

Well the cat is pretty much out of Schrodinger’s box anyway so I might as well confess. They are clones. That whole cloned sheep thing was just an intro to the concept for the general public. You know, get them ready for when the clones take over. Would you like fries with that?

(NukeDad) No, no fries; but I will take a side of relativity, please.
