Memeapalooza
I got tagged twice in the last week with the same meme. Since you all know how much I enjoy meme’s, I’m going to knock them both out right here; right now. I won’t tag anybody because as the great Harry S Truman once said; “The meme stops here”. Or something like that. It’s not that I hate memes or anything, it’s just that once you start doing them, everyone wants you to do them, and they’re like; “C’mon, do it! You’ll be popular! Everyone will like you!” and then you turn in to one big meme junkie. Posting a picture isn’t enough anymore; you find yourself yearning to answer 10 questions about yourself, or list 52 things to accomplish this year. I just don’t know if I can commit to all of that. All kidding aside, here are the memes:
Weaselmomma over at the newly remodeled World of Weasels sent me the initial meme last week. I’m to go to my 4th picture folder, choose the 4th picture and post about it. So here it is: This is a picture of NukeGirl on her 5th birthday. She loves dogs and she loves cake frosting. The actual cake will sit on the plate until it becomes harder than Advanced Calculus; but the frosting is gone in a flash.
The next one is courtesy of James over at Luke, I Am Your Father who had the same request, except this one is the 6th picture from my 6th folder. This one is of the NukeBeagles (Buddy and Penny) when they were about 10 weeks old. It’s an action shot of them in full Milkbone Meltdown. They had only been home for a few days and were constantly battling over who should get more attention. They’d chase each other under the couch and loveseat, taking full advantage of the 4 1/2 inches of clearance. They still haven’t settled the issue.

Those are great pictures and I love how cute Nukegirl is with her cake. That’s an awesome cake!
(NukeDad) Fixed your little typo: “how” isn’t spelled with an “e” in place of the “w”. Changes the meaning just a tad.
NukeGirl saw that cake and had to have it. It feeds 1 1/2 people.

Okay, first of all let me put out the obvious compliment on the photo of Nukegirl. She is totally adorable. TOTALLY! I want to pinch her little cheeks like that creepy great-aunt who only visits at the holidays.
But the 2nd photo? You did that on purpose, didn’t you? It made me totally weak-kneed, even though I’m sitting down. They are so cute that I want to squeeze them really hard and talk baby-talk to them, and then kidnap them and bring them here.

Great pictures. That’s a whole lot of cute in one post right there. I know what you mean about the memes, since that is probably the 3rd one I have done and I am a bit tired of them already too. I have maybe 25 bloggers I could pass it on to, so to keep from repeating them, I spread the ‘love’. Glad you had the good sense to put an end to it. I didn’t.

Are those pups real? Hard to tell from the picture (or my lenses need changing), they are seriously cute wee things though.
(NukeDad) They are indeed. That picture is a year old though. There are some more recent pictures of them throughout the site and there will be more in the future, I’m sure.

Ok, I’m new at the blog thing…… what is a meme?
(NukeDad) Stace, think of it as kind of like an Internet “Slam book”. You get linked when someone posts some questions or a task for you to complete on their blog and then you “tag” other bloggers with the same questions or task. It’s like a chain letter in cyberspace. Sort of. I think. Could I be more vague?
