Redeployment Is Not An Option

Subdued (a little) Gloating

This post is more an appeasement to WeaselMomma and her desire for a victory dance than it is a slight to Momo Fali and her Buckeyes.  Let’s be real; if there had been 2 more minutes on the clock last night this might be a very different post.  So; here is the victory dance for WeaselMomma.  I hate this song, but it’s the only video I could find with Longhorn players dancing.

I also wanted to include this.  It’s “The Eyes Of Texas”.  This song has irritated many a carpetbagger over the years, so why quit now.  The history of it can be found here.

The first line is actually missing from that clip.  A true Longhorn fan can’t be expected to hold a cellphone camera and 2 Lone Star Longnecks at the same time; so I’ve included the lyrics below:

The Eyes of Texas are upon you,

All the live long day.

The Eyes of Texas are upon you,

You can not get away.

Do not think you can escape them,

At night, or early in the morn’.

The Eyes of Texas are upon you,

Till Gabriel blows his horn!

Next we have a picture that probably demonstrates the feelings of Momo, The State of Ohio, Ohio State Football fans and Texas haters everywhere:

And lastly, we have the only image that anyone needs to remember from last night.  The image that will haunt OSU fans for years to come.  THIS image:

What a game.  I hope the National Championship game is as exciting as this one was.  See you next year, Momo.

Very subtle. I hardly even knew which team you were rooting for. Nice. :)

(NukeDad) Subtlety is one of my quieter strengths. ;o

That was good. I was actually thinking more along the lines of a “NukeDad dancing in the living room” victory video post, but this will do. You are truly a gracious winner.

(NukeDad) Oh, I don’t dance. At least, not until the beer kicks in.

am i just a prudish person or does the toddler flipping a bird annoy everybody?? who lets their kids act like that?? what happened to teaching them good sportsmanship like momo and nuke dad have shown in these last posts??

ok, enough preaching. congrats to you nuke dad and your longhorns.

(NukeDad) Thanks, Nonna. That kid is kind of annoying. It’s a picture of a little kid at an English Soccer match, which explains alot. They start their Hooligans out young over there.

Truly… there is nothing that can get your heart racing like college football at it’s best. Congrats to you Nuke Dad and condolences to Momo.

(NukeDad) Thanks, Tara. The NCAA Basketball tournament still does it for me.

That kid is an amateur, Niecey is way better with her sign language! But then that sign has become somewhat of a family joke and is usually not used like most people. Oh and do they always dance at the end of the game?

(NukeDad) I hope Niecey doesn’t use that sign in church. They don’t always dance at the end of the game. That video was from a game in Florida when the visiting team played that song over the intercom. At the end of the game the players all gather in the end zone and sing “The Eyes of Texas”.

Wow. Did you know *you* weren’t actually playing? ;-)

(NukeDad) I wasn’t? Well then what did I throw last night?

It was a great game… congrats. Almost thought I was going to have to ask what happened to winning. But I do have one question….

What is up with the band outfits they were wearing? I didn’t know the Longhorn Band was modeling the new Lawrence Welk meets Hee Haw line of clothing. Yikes!!

    Congrats again on the win.

(NukeDad) That’s mighty bold talk for a Miami Dolphins fan. Is Pennington trying to get “Comeback Player of the Year” again in 2010? ;) If so, you are in trouble next year!

What’s wrong with the band outfits? Paris Hilton and Boy George started a band uniform company and UT were the first customers! Oh well, at least the win makes up for the uniforms.

Give em h***, give em h***, make them eat sh**
    Being PG, just in case.

Two more minutes might have brought deja vu a la Red Raider. Thank God that didn’t happen!

(NukeDad) You said it. I didn’t want to get Crabtree’d again.

Haha, my family’s church is pretty laid back and they probably would laugh if she flipped them the bird. I am more worried about her doing it in school but I think they have taught her it is not ok to use it outside the house, lol.

(NukeDad) Good for her, the church and her parents. NukeBoy2 pulled a total Ralphie the other day after he got off the school bus: “Hey Dad, this kid got in trouble today for saying F—.” Only he didn’t say fudge, he said the F dash dash dash word. It was completely innocent because he was morified when I asked him if he knew what he had just said. Then he was terrified that he would be grounded until after the birth of his 2nd child.
