The Other Unpaid Day Job
I’m up again over at Scrivel. It’s been awhile since I’ve submitted over there; I’m surprised that Mr. Caslin kept me on the boards, to be honest. It’s taken me some time to get the kids’ schedules configured into a workable format. Now that football season is over, it should be a lot easier. Until basketball starts next week. Wrote the check for that today. The pen ran out of ink. Twice. Maybe the budget Gods are trying to tell me something. I just hope we don’t get stuck with the same kid we had last year who thought he could hit running hook shots from half court with his back to the basket. He was worse than a drunk shot putter at a mirror symposium. He took 43 shots last year. 4 hit small children, 5 knocked over folding chairs, 1 hit the Jesus stained glass window (it’s a church sponsored league), 2 hit his Mom, 17 hit the wall and only 1 hit the backboard. The remaining 13 hit the air; but just barely. Go on over and check it out. Let me know what you think.

After indulging in margaritas for my birthday, I find your numbers confusing and strange. Especially since I just had to attempt to help my 16yo with Honors Algebra 2. My brain is fried…and then some.
I’ll go check it out…tomorrow.
(NukeDad) Honors Algebra 2? That’s easy! 2/5 divided by the square root of pie times 2xy-4 = …..another mojito! Happy Birthday Melisa!

sounds to me like your wife is one smart chicky!
(NukeDad) She certainly is. Except for that decision to marry me….don’t know what she was thinking.

And I am sure that “hook shot”‘s parents are looking for a coach who understands their child and can help him get a college scholarship for basketball.
(NukeDad) I think they want him to be like Lebron James and go straight to the NBA.

You have quite the knack for story telling. We have two Labs… I totally get the Electric Slide maneuver. Good call.
(NukeDad) The Moonwalk is a close second. Just don’t try the Tango. It never works.

Too bad you didn’t get to implement 6:30 AM yard work. The best way to start that is by hand-held air horn. I’m sure you’ll get another opportunity at some point.
(NukeDad) Or a nice pitcher of ice water.
