Look what you participated in starting, shame on you .

My research is on probiotic bacteria, which are the health promoting kind, so on the human side I am playing nice. Given that my current study is putting the cultures through a simulated digestive tract it is not so nice for the poor bugs, least I wouldn’t be too happy with someone frying me with acid and then bile.

Now back to tinkering on my new blog.

(NukeDad) Woo Hoo! I converted a reader into a blogger? Great job, Karen! Can’t wait to get over there and read your first post. I’m going to have to stick you under the “Mom’s” tag in the blogroll, but that is fairly accurate, isn’t it? Aren’t you “Mother” to all of your micro-sized bugs? I’m going with it.

I’m going for a doctorate so for sure it is b) glutton for punishment. Microbiology is really just the fancy way of saying I am paid to play with bacteria, lol.

Wow, I’m famous, first time ever I’ve been “outed”. So far ISU doesn’t have a Blogology major but I’ll be sure to put in a good word for you when they do. How much a microbiology student’s word is worth to the english dept I don’t know. A requirement of course is watching “Field of Dreams” enough times so you can deliver the Iowans’ favorite lines ever, “Is this heaven?” “No it’s Iowa!” without snickering nor sounding sarcastic. And of course you would have to buy a “Beat Iowa” shirt to be worn on days there is a game between ISU and UI.

(NukeDad) Nice to meet you Karen! I thought it was you. I could wear a Cyclones shirt, no problem. Microbiology, huh? You’re either a genius or a glutton for punishment. I’m leaning towards genius. Don’t be a stranger!

Pretty impressive, man. NukeDad, The Movie. With a name like that, the movie practically writes itself. Its got to be a Michael Bay film. (NukeDad) I don't know; he'd re-write it 6 times, loose Costner, Pitt and Jolie to other projects and probably bring it in at right around $165 million. We don't have that kind of budget.
