Holy repairs nukeman! wow...we just had a $1500 one about a month ago. There goes my uncle sam incentive check that we are supposed to be getting! Those dealers are all the more anxious to let you bring your car in for repairs.
Ohh yeah, we have this light that keeps going on in our station wagon. I've brought in about 5 times to get it checked out, only to find out that there in something wrong maybe one of those times. So, the light is on auto-ignore.
Hey...don't make fun of us Ivy League Engineers! We gotta (at least used to have to) make a living!

(NukeDad) It wasn't me complaining! It was the mechanic!

Thanks, I'll keep the comments below the bad word sound barrier.

I was behind enemy lines for a little while working as a service writer in a dealership.

The reason the labor rate is so high is they have to do everything twice. I was at the complete mercy of the mechanics, who couldn’t find their seat cushion from second base.

(NukeDad) Glad to see that you made it through your Tour Of Duty. I feel for those guys, I do. In most every circumstance the person they are talking to is already pissed off. Where do you go from there? In the last 4 years of going to this dealership, I've never seen the same face twice. I guess they can only take so much before they quit and find a job with less stress.
